Conditions of Entry (2009-2010)
  1. Course fees are to be paid in advance at the beginning of each term and the examination and seminar fees when requested. No examination may be taken unless all fees are paid in full.
  2. One complete term’s notice is required to cancel any course. There is an initial probationary period of 3 weeks, at the beginning of each course (from the date of the first lesson scheduled) in which a student can be withdrawn without further obligation.
  3. Children must be collected promptly after their lessons.
  4. All coursework has to be completed by the student and in accordance with the terms and conditions set out by the relevant examination board.
  5. Ryde Teaching Services Limited retains the right to not enter a student for an examination if it is believed that the student has a low chance of success.
  6. Ryde Teaching Services Limited will make the final decision on the examination tier to be entered by any student.
  7. The submission deadline for all exercises and projects (GCSE and A Level) is April 4th for summer examinations and December 20th for January exams.  Other examination deadlines will be communicated to the student during the course.

  9. Ryde Teaching Services Limited has the right to terminate the classes of students who are continually disruptive.
  10. Children must not bring chewing gum onto the premises and must dispose of litter in the bins provided.
  11. If a student has had any infectious illness normally resulting in an absence from school, a doctor’s medical certificate is required stating the student is fit and able enough to return to their studies and that the infection is not contagious.
  12. Children absent through sickness may attend ’make-up’ lessons, subject to availability.
  13. The time allocated for each lesson includes ten minutes changeover time for each class.
  14. Students are responsible for maintaining and taking care of their own coursework. Duplicate copies must always be kept (even when work has been handed in for marking). If coursework is lost then the student could fail.

  17. Fees are not transferable or refundable.
  18. There is a standard charge of £23.50 to cover all unpaid cheques for administration and bank charges.

Examinations: Mock examinations are usually held in Term 2 or 3.  Summer GCSE and A Level examinations are held during May and June. Other examination dates will be communicated to the students during the course.
